I’ve been stunned by how the children at Izzy’s kindy and Freddie’s school have accepted Izzy’s transition. They’ve taken it in their stride. I find this fascinating, and so of course turned to Google – “Why do children find it so easy to accept transition in their peers” and came across some great articles.
Here’s one of the them. Please share this with friends and family, feel free to post on Facebook, because the more people who come to understand that being transgender isn’t a choice and it’s nothing to be afraid of, the better support we will have in our communities and the better outcome we will have for our children. Mine will be less likely to commit suicide and yours will grow in to kind, empathetic, empowered adults.
